Sphamandla Hlatshwayo

Growing up, Spha wanted to be a medical doctor, until he found his passion in accountancy. Around the same time he came across the inspiring story of one of his heroes, Muhammad Yunus (the founder of Grameen Bank, a microfinance and community development organisation in Bangladesh).

In his three years with YourCFO, Spha has learnt from, and is driven by, the values of timeliness and attentiveness. These values have impassioned him to continue to learn and share his knowledge with others – and, it seems he has quite the knack for teaching, too.

Spha always strives to live by his favourite quote by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: “Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Wishing is not enough; we must do.”

Chareen Maluka

Chareen is a former aspiring sound engineer-turned-accountant. She is, so far, the ‘youngest’ member of the YourCFO group – having joined in early 2019.

Since becoming part of the YourCFO team, she has learnt how to overcome any challenge that’s thrown at her and take it in her stride. She’s also learnt to cherish all the small joys of life – just like her role model Oprah Winfrey does.

Among many things, Chareen values punctuality, humility… and people who chew their food quietly.

When she isn’t working, you’ll find her cooking up a storm and practising some chef skills.

Every day she lives by her favourite Maya Angelou motto: “Do the best you can, until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”

It’s your business.

That’s why you need YourCFO.
